Low tide

Sorry for not writing the last couple of days but the internet wasn’t the greatest at the hotel we were staying. I flew back home from France yesterday after a dissapointing missed cut in my first challenge tour for the season. I played basically the same on friday but managed to stay away from the high numbers. I shot two over par and wasn’t even close to making the cut. Even though I played bad I really enjoyed playing the challenge tour and I’m looking forward to next tournament already. There is no tournament this week and I’m 24th reserve to the tournament in Belgium in two weeks so we’ll see when my next tournament will be.

Took a few more pictures before I left the beautiful Pleneuf Val André.

Windy!

Today was a tough day on the course. I started off really bad and made a triple bogey on my first hole and an eight on my fourth. The course is really difficult not very long but very narrow. The wind was blowing hard today which made the course even tighter. I finally signed the card for twelve over par which was unbelievably bad. I hit a few bad shots today that led to some high numbers so my goal for tomorrow is to keep the ball in play no matter what.

14:10

Tomorrow is the first round of Allianz Open here in France. I tee off at 14.10 and it’s supposed to be really windy tomorrow so looking forward to an interresting round.

France

Yesterday afternoon I arrived to France after a couple of hours in the plane. Today me and Jens played a practice round here at the spectacular Golf Blue Green situated in the northern parts of Bretagne. The course isn’t very long but it’s really narrow in some places so if it starts blowing it’s going to be tough. The front nine is fairly flat and not very exciting but the back nine has got some really tricky holes with amazing views. I like the course a lot and if I can keep the ball in play I feel it’s going to be a good week. The tournament starts on thursday so tomorrow I’ll just practice and maybe walk the course once more.

Consistent

After the second round at the Lakes course I was positive and it felt like my game was coming around. Yesterday was the closing round and I was excited to play and try to make a good score. It didn’t really turn out the way I had hoped for and sadly enough I made too many easy mistakes to make a good score. After making a solid birdie on the last hole I finished yet again at one over par tied for 25th. At least I was consistent, 73 73 73:) I feel that I’m close to something really good I just got to work a little harder and hopefully it’ll come around soon.

Final round

After two fairly windy opening rounds at Lakes course it’s time for the final round tomorrow. The first day I played pretty bad but after making a few good putts on the back nine I finished at one over par and was satisfied with that. Today I played a lot better but sadly enough the result was the same as yesterday. I’m two over at the moment and tied for 20th, hopefully I can score well tomorrow and advance in the field. They say it’s going to rain tomorrow but I’m hoping it doesn’t turn out too bad.

Grand Opening

Tomorrow it’s time for the first Nordea Tour tournament of the season, PEAB PGA Grand Opening. PGA National has two courses, Links and Lakes. Previous years we’ve played the tournament on Links course but this year it’ll be played at Lakes. The course is in really good condition so I’m looking forward to a good day and hopefully not too much rain. I tee off at 14.10 tomorrow on the tenth hole.

Tied 16th

Yesterday was the last round of Abbekås Open and after a good round on saturday I was excited to play the last round. Unfortunately I didn’t play well at all the finishing round, I felt stressed and not very comfortable over the ball. After a long round I finally signed the card for a 76, +4. I dropped down to a tied for 16th and obviously I was not safisfied with that. The good thing is that I get the chance to make a good tournament in just a few days. The first Nordea Tour tournament starts on thursday and will be played at PGA National in Malmö. I know I have good golf in me so hopefully I can show that this week.

Good start at Abbekås

Today was the opening round of Abbekås open. I started off really good and had good birdie chances the first three holes but didn’t manage to make any of them. I gave myself plenty of chances today but unfortunately none of them would drop. I made my first birdie on number 8 after a really good approach shot to 10cm. I played solid today and made sixteen pars and two birdies, my second birdie came on the 17th after reaching the green in two on a par 5. Hopefully I can play just as well tomorrow and try to make a few more putts.

Abbekås

Tomorrow is the first round of the mini tour here at Abbekås. I tee off at 8.20 and I’m looking forward to play a tournament again. I played a practice round here on tuesday and the course is in really good condition, especially the greens. The course is pretty open with small and undulated greens. The back nine is a little more tricky than the front nine with a little more water and out of bounds in play. Hopefully I can make a good round tomorrow and have a chance of winning on sunday.
